Newsflash — Comelec website was hacked!!…..

That was the news a while ago.

Very alarming isnt it?

There is this website called wehaveyourdata.com where you (or anybody) can see your personal information. And what is worse is that anybody (and i mean, anybody) can check informations about you.

Here’s a link where you can check  if your personal identifiable information is compromised during the recent attack
on the Comelec website. It includes complete name, address, birthdate, and your digitally converted fingerprint topology. Although it does not seem to
include new voters who registered last year. Really bothered on why the commission downplayed the attack despite the amount (and value) of data they just lost.

Fairy Dust

I am a child at heart.. a lover of cartoons and animations, circuses and themed parks, chocolates,  rainbow-colored lollipops and cotton candies.  And i love Tinker Bell, her fairy dusts and magic.

Tinker Bell is a fictional character from J.M. Barrie’s 1904 play Peter Pan and its 1911 novelization Peter and Wendy. She has appeared in multiple film and
television adaptations of the Peter Pan
stories, in particular the 1953 animated Walt Disney picture Peter Pan. She also appears in the official sequel Peter Pan it) Scarlet by Geraldine Mccaughrean commissioned by Great Ormond Street Hospital as well as the “Peter and the Starcatchers” book series by Ridley Pearson and Dave Barry.

franchise including the direct-to-DVD film series Tinker Bell and Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color.

Did you know that in the Disney’s animated film, Peter Pan, Peter Pan was actually joking with Wendy, John and Michael when he told them that they could fly if they think of happy thoughts? Well, it was not the happy thoughts that made them fly. It was Tinkerbell’s Fairy dust, a magical golden glitter-like powder that grants the abilities of flight.

The reason why I love Tinker Bell so much is because she is so adorable. She may be a small little fairy but that does not prevent her from doing great things. Her size does not hamper her capabilities.

High blood ka teh??

Noong bata pa tayo, isa lamang ekspresyon ang “highblood ka ba teh?”. Inagawan ka ng kendi, high blood ka na. Hindi ka sinama ng nanay mo sa mall, high blood na agad. Nadapa ka at pinagtawanan ng kaklase, high blood na. Natae ka sa salawal, todo high blood na din.

Pero….isa lang bang ekspresyon ang “highblood ka ba teh?”.

Hindi po.

Ang blood pressure ay dapat pag tuunan ng pansin. Bata man o matanda. Lalaki man o babae. May asawa man o wala. Dahil ang blood pressure o bp, ang magsasabi kung maatake ka na ba o sobrang baba nito.

Minumungkahi ko sa lahat ng nagbabasa nitong blog na ito, na nararapat natin itala araw araw ang ating bp. Kung ito man ay mataas o mababa, nararapat mo itong pag tuunan ng pansin.

Nakalakip sa blog na ito ang tamang bp ng isang tao. Kaya mga teh, high blood ka ba???

Macular Degeneration

My dad was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration last year, 2015.

Macular Degeneration  is the leading cause of severe vision loss in people over age 60. It occurs when the small central portion of the retina, known as the  macula ,

deteriorates.

My dad was refered to Dr. Amadeo Veloso of Asian Eye Institute, an expert in the field of Retinal Disease.

When went to Asian Eye Institute, we were overwhelmed by the courteousness and the attentiveness of the staff, nurses and other doctors. We sat comfortably on our chairs as we waited for the nurse to call my dad’s name.

When my dad’s name was called, he went to different rooms for the various routinary check up. Afterwhich, he was referred to Dr. Veloso for his final check up. He greeted us with a smile and explained well the condition of my dad, as well as the possible treatment. He entertained all our questions and answered them courteously and clearly.

We learned that Macular Degeneration is common to adults. It is incurable but can be contained by eye injection or laser, depending on condition of the eye.

Lip Sync Battle

Dubsmashing or lip syncing is popular nowadays. In fact, there is an app which you can download for free and record yourself lip syncing to the available songs or lines from famous movies.

Last May 2015, I attended a wedding in Tagaytay. One of the games is dubsmashing or lip syncing. Whoever gets the loudest cheer will be removed from the game. And the contestant who gets the least number of applause will have to stay on stage, be declared the winner and will receive the garter from the bride and groom.

The first round was lip syncing “I want it that way” by the Backstreet Boys. The said round was very intense. All gave their best in lip syncing or immitating the Backstreet Boys. Some of them even closed their eyes while lip syncing and imagining that they were actually members of the famous boyband.

For the second round, the contestants were made to lip sync and/or dance “Roar” by Katy Perry.

For the third round, the contestants were made to lip sync and/or dance “Breakfree” by Ariana Grande.

For the fourth round, they were made to lip sync “This I Promise You” by Nsync.

And for the last round, “Wiggle, Wiggle” by Jason Derulo.

The last man standing was declared the winner of the Lip Sync Battle. The bride and the groom handed to him the garter which he gave to the winner of the “catching the bouquet” game.

And i said yes.

Marahil iniisip mo na tungkol ito sa kasal o sakal. Pero mali ka. Ito ay isang sagot sa isang tanong na matagal ko nang pinag iisipan…. ang pag gawa ng blog.

To blog or not to blog?.. yan ang katanungan na konektado sa sagot ko.

Ano nga ba isusulat ko? Bakit ako magsusulat? Anong mapapala ko? May magbabasa ba? Eh pano pag walang nag basa? Pano kung corny? Gosh!!!! Nakakaloka isipin ha. Pero naalala ko pa ang sinabi ng aking guro tungkol sa pagsusulat. Dapat Title palang, catchy na. Dahil ito ang kukuha at pupukaw ng atensyon ng mga magbabasa.

Napagtanto ko na hindi naman importante kung anong topic ko. Basta masabi ko ang saloobin ko, ay okay na. Meron at meron din magbabasa nyan. Kung hindi man sampu, meron isa dyan or dalawa. Ako yung isa eh. Hahahaha..

So?? Ano nga bang punto ko dito? Yes! Yes to blogging.
